We played car football using Kia Sportage!

Whistle blown, and away we go! It is currently football season mania with the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, but we want to bring some of the action closer to home. With a bit of AutoBuzz flair, because we do things differently, why don’t we have a football competition with some cars?

For the inaugural Sportage Cup 2026, we will be fielding six Kia Sportages and 12 players. Representing South Korea is Team Kia Sales Malaysia, with the team captain, Kia Sales Malaysia Sdn Bhd Managing Director, Emily Lek. Representing Negaraku Malaysia is Team AutoBuzz, led by the charismatic GC Mah.

Both teams only have one goal, which is to push the ball with the car into the goalpost, and there is only one trophy for the winning team. Like all football matches, there will be a referee scooting around on an electric scooter to ensure everyone sticks to the rules.

Fortunately, no Kia Sportages were harmed in the making of this video, though a few nerves were frayed and a few hairs were definitely lost in the hair-raising action. But who will emerge victorious? For that, you have to watch the full match in our video to find out!
