The exhaust note of the new Hyundai Elantra N has got us excited!

Hyundai N has made another teaser content for the upcoming Elantra N high-performance sedan.

The fifth addition to the growing line-up of N vehicles is scheduled for full unveiling next week, the morning of July 14th. Hyundai N currently is available on the hatchback models (i20 N, i30 N and Veloster N) as well as the recently launched Kona N.

The sound clip sure has the same aural delight from the brand’s high-output 2.0-litre turbocharged engine with 280 hp and 392 Nm of torque. The sound is also highlighted by the exhaust crackling from the variable exhaust valve.

Listen to the new Porsche 911 GT3 warming its clutch at 6,300 rpm and blast off to over 300 km/h!

The engine could be paired to either an enthusiast-friendly 6-speed manual transmission or a fast-shifting 8-speed dual-clutch transmission driving the front wheels in the other N models. The fastest sprinting model is the Hyundai Kona N which hits 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds from a standstill.

The static image of this sound clip teaser is also strewn with two- and three-alphabet acronyms, some of which are Hyundai N technologies such as ELSD, NPS, NGS, NTS, ECS and NES.

Key features in full-fledged Hyundai N cars include downshift rev-matching, sports-tuned suspension, tailored-made HN-marked Pirelli P Zero tyres and upgraded braking system. A lot of fine-tuning of the chassis and powertrain is also done at the famed Nurburgring Nordschleife.
