This Porsche 911 GT3 screaming to 9,000 rpm is a feast to the ears!

It’s been nearly six weeks since any of us have done anything significant, again. Who would’ve thought that after coming out from MCO 1.0 last year that we’d be once again deprived of life’s simple pleasures? Driving, in our case.

Coming across this video then, of the 992 Porsche 911 GT3 revving its heart out, did not help.

Find out more about the 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 here!

On one hand, the sound of the 4.0-litre naturally-aspirated flat-six engine screaming all the way to 9,000 rpm is the war cry we all need. It’s the inner voice that’s been pent up for more than a month, locked in at home without any method of release (which in our case, is again, driving).

Just when most engines in normal would be on the verge of exploding at 6,000 to 7,000 rpm, the 911 GT3’s party has just begun – with 3,000 or so rpm to go!

Porsche did 300 km/h non-stop in the new 911 GT3 for 5,000 km, only stopping for fuel. Read about it here!

And having driven the previous 911 GT3 ourselves in Sepang, the REAL magic, lies in the last 1,000 rpm when the engine feels like it’s unleashing an inner power. The intensity of the sound and mechanical sensations is unlike any other – it’s signature Porsche.

On the other hand, well, there’s the lockdown.
