All-new Hyundai Elantra to be launched online tomorrow via Facebook

As promised, Hyundai Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) will be launching the all-new Elantra via their official Facebook page tomorrow morning at 11:00 am.

This follows after a teaser video was released on their Facebook page today revealing snippets of the 7th generation Elantra which was previewed to us in detail last week.

The Elantra will available in a single variant in Malaysia, powered by the company’s latest 1.6-litre SmartStream engine with 123 hp and 154 Nm. Power is sent to the front wheels via the company’s own Intelligent Variable Transmission (IVT) gearbox.

As for the price you’ll have to wait till tomorrow morning to find out although HSDM has hinted that it would cost “RM1XX,888” on its site and that bookings can be made at RM777 through HSDM’s official site or at any authorised Hyundai dealership.

The Hyundai Elantra is another offspring of the company’s latest ‘Sensuous Sportiness’ design language following the local launch of the all-new Hyundai Sonata at the end of October.

HSDM’s competitor for the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord is available in a single variant and is fully-imported from South Korea, with a price tag of RM206,888.

However, the Sonata is available at a special introductory price of RM189,888 for the first 50 units inclusive of the sales tax exemptions until the end of the year.
