It’s common practise for most to purchase either a Proton or Perodua upon deciding to be an E-hailing driver and here’s Proton’s way to relieve those turning to Grab, Mula and other E-hailing companies as an extra source of income.
Those who opt to purchase either an Iriz, Exora, Saga, Persona or the X70 which Proton says will be fitted with a N95 cabin filter in the future, will receive a Petronas fuel gift card worth RM500. As an alternative, you can opt to have a RM500 price rebate instead of the fuel card.
In order to be eligible for this, the customer will have to submit a copy of a valid PSV E-hailing license as proof, and register the vehicle under their own name. The promotion is also open to individuals purchasing a car to be used for E-hailing by a different driver.
In such situations, a Letter of Consent stating the purpose of the purchase would be required, along with the full name and Identification Number of the E-hailing Driver and a copy of their PSV E-hailing license.
