On one side of the ring, you have the longest running moniker in Proton’s inventory and on the other, Perodua’s answer to it. Both are equally practical and functional means of A to B transportation but this video, like all else with AutoBuzz.my, is a little different.

Traditionally, drag races have been reserved for those with a bit thrust or those that cost and arm a leg just to replace a spark plug but while pitting the updated Saga with the refreshed Bezza isn’t something you’d expect anyone would bother to do, it’s also something you never knew you wanted to watch.

The 2020 Perodua Bezza is available in four variants – 1.0L G MT (RM34,580), 1.0L G AT (RM36,580), 1.3L X AT (RM43,980) and 1.3L AV AT (RM49,980).

The updated Proton Saga on the other is only available in three variants – 1.3L Standard MT (RM32,800), 1.3L Standard AT (RM35,800) and 1.3L Premium AT (RM39,800).
