Toyota Malaysia is now taking orders for the Toyota Vios Sports Edition, a variant specifically inspired by Toyota Gazoo Racing’s Vios Challenge race car. Unlike the TGR spec, this Vios is completely road legal despite looking almost identical in outward appearance.

The Vios Sports Edition gets sports aero kit with rear spoiler and black-painted alloy wheels. The decals that you see on the car is exactly what you’ll be getting, and of course this is on top of all the curious heads it’ll turn on the road.

It’s not all show no go, though. This special Vios gets sports suspension which lowers the centre of gravity by up to 27mm. Visually, you can also tell that it sits closer to the ground compared to the roll-off-the-mill Vios. This suspension helps improve cornering stability and reduces body roll as well.

Inside, the car gets unique fabric seat design with the Sports edition emblem embroidered onto the carpet. The gear knob is also special, whereas the front footwell gets amber illumination – unlike the tacky blue ones previously fitted to the 1.5 GX.

The Toyota Vios Sports Edition is priced at RM85,300 before insurance and is covered with a 5-year unlimited mileage warranty. Customers who purchase this Vios will receive a complimentary Sports Edition merchandise comprised of a TGR polo shirt that can be customised with their name, cap and tumbler. The order books are now open at all authorised Toyota dealerships nationwide.
