Hyundai Malaysia finally introduced the sixth-generation Hyundai Elantra and it’s immediately available in three variants – 2.0 Executive, 2.0 Dynamic and 1.6 T-GDI Sport.
They are priced at RM116,388, RM120,588 and RM131,488 respectively, with each purchase packaged together with a 5-year or 300,000km warranty as well as free service up to 50,000km. The 2.0-litre engine produces 151 hp and 192 Nm of torque and is paired to a six-speed conventional automatic.

At the top of the range is the Elantra Sport, belting no less than 201 hp and 265 Nm of torque from a turbocharged 1.6-litre direct injected engine. It’s also the only Elantra to come with a seven-speed dual clutch auto (manufactured by Hyundai) and HID headlamps. Both 2.0-litre variants settle for halogen projectors.
As with most modern Hyundai cars, much attention has been paid to aerodynamics. The Elantra features air curtain and full underbody cover to yield a best-in-class drag coefficient of 0.27.
