BMW Malaysia is charging full-steam ahead with its electrification plans, particularly in expanding its charging network. After announcing its partnerships with Gentari, JomCharge, and ChargEV, the company has now entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with yet another charge point operator (CPO), this time Leader EV Solutions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Leader Energy.
The new partnership “aims to raise awareness of the Leader EV Galaxy Charge network” along the North-South Highway, the companies’ joint press release reads.

Under the framework of the MoU, the companies will jointly initiate marketing campaigns to promote the Galaxy Charge network along North-South Highway. Leader EV will be responsible for the development, installation, operation, and maintenance of the Galaxy Charge network, while BMW Malaysia will be architecting a new subscription-based membership programme to facilitate public access to the charging network.
Following the partnership, the BMW branding will also be present on all charging stations on the network.
