Continental SportContact 7 UUHP tyre launched in Malaysia – 18 to 23 inches, improved performance

Continental Tyres has just launched its new flagship ultra ultra high performance (UUHP) tyre – the Continental SportContact 7 in Malaysia. It is claimed to have improved dry and wet performance, both on the street and on track.

The Continental SportContact 7 tyre also features the brand’s series of latest technologies. This includes an upgraded adaptive pattern that can help provide additional grip in wet conditions even during braking or accelerating. The adaptive pattern can also help avoid micro aquaplaning while going through corners.

The brand’s new flagship also sports Continental’s Force Clustering which helps improve handling performance. There is also the latest generation of resins combined with the brand’s BlackChili compound, which has been refined with a new plasticizer to create an ultra-sticky compound. This is used together with the tyre’s low void profile design to achieve a leap in tyre performance.

Despite being a performance tyre, Continental claims that its new SportContact 7 tyre is able to deliver better fuel efficiency. It is also said to be able to offer double-digit improvement in mileage as compared to its predecessor. The Continental SportContact 7 is also the brand’s first UUHP tyre that has been tailor-made to meet the different performance requirements of vehicles of different classes and sizes.
