GWM Malaysia has appointed Roslan Abdullah as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). This comes after Roslan stepped down from the role as Proton’s Deputy Chief Executive Officer earlier this month.
Roslan Abdullah brings with him over 30 years of experience to GWM Malaysia. His extensive career includes roles such as Vice President of Sales and Marketing and CEO of Proton Edar, as well as President and Chief Operating Officer at Honda Malaysia before that. He also previously held executive roles at Modenas and Isuzu HICOM Malaysia.
Managing Director of GWM Malaysia, Cui Anqi said, “We are honoured to welcome Roslan Abdullah to the GWM family. His leadership experience and strategic insight will be instrumental in strengthening our operations, reinforcing customer confidence, and establishing GWM as a long-term player in Malaysia’s automotive landscape.”
Assuming his new role at GWM Malaysia, Roslan Abdullah stated that he envisions positioning GWM as a trusted long-term mobility partner in Malaysia by building a strong and reliable dealer and service network, curating a product portfolio that meets the diverse needs of all Malaysians, and delivering seamless ownership experiences.
“We are aligned with the Government’s aspirations under the National Automotive Policy and will continue to support Malaysia’s shift toward sustainable and intelligent transportation,” he added.
