Following its first right-hand drive preview a month ago, iCaur Malaysia has now officially launched the iCaur V23. Offered here as a fully imported model (CBU), the car is available in two variants with a starting price of RM119,800 on the road and without insurance.
- iCaur V23 2WD – RM119,800
- iCaur V23 iWD – RM132,800
While the car may look small, don’t be fooled by its cute proportions. The iCaur V23 is actually a C-segment SUV, measuring 4,220 mm long, 1,915 mm wide and 1,845 mm tall, with a 2,735 mm wheelbase. Compared to its iCaur 03 sibling, the V23 is 186 mm shorter, 5 mm wider and 130 mm taller, and it also offers a 20 mm longer wheelbase.
The iCaur V23 sits as the more off-road-focused, retro-futurist sibling to the iCaur 03. While the 03 sports straight and sleek lines for a more composed and modern look, the V23 contrasts that with its rounded headlights, shorter overhangs, and more pronounced wheel arches — similar to iconic off-roaders from half a century ago. Standard exterior equipment are as such:
- LED headlights and tailights
- LED Daytime running lights
- 19-inch steel wheels
- Flush door handles
- 40-litre auxiliary cargo box
- Side steps
- NFC Smart Key Card scanner
- Keyless Entry and Start with Walk-Away Auto Lock
Choosing the iWD variant bumps the wheel size up to 21-inch five-spoke alloys, sharpening the stance and giving it a stronger active-lifestyle attitude.

Inside, the iCaur V23 carries on the retro-futuristic theme with boxy air vents and rotary knobs finished in a metallic texture. The Malaysian units, however, do not feature the compact circular driver display that was shown on the preview model at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025. Instead, all driving information is displayed and controlled through the 15.4-inch central infotainment screen. Standard interior equipment of the iCaur V23 includes:
- 15.4-inch infotainment display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Dual-zone automatic climate control
- Multi-function steering wheel
- Faux leather upholstery
- Ventilated seats
- Wireless phone charger
- Seven-speaker sound system
- Column-mounted gearshift lever
- Powered driver and passenger seats
- USB-A and USB-C charging ports
The iCaur V23 comes standard with five driving modes: ECO, Comfort, Sport, Individual, and Slippery. Upgrading to the iWD variant and an Off-Road mode is added, with exclusive Off-Road specific displays to assist with any off-terrain driving.

The iCaur V23 will be offered in two powertrain options: rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive, which the brand dubs “intelligent-wheel drive” or iWD. The RWD variant uses a single rear motor with 136 hp and 180 Nm, translating to a 0-100 km/h sprint in 11 seconds with a top speed of 140 km/h. It’s paired with a 59.9 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery that delivers up to 360 km of range under the NEDC cycle.
The iWD version adds a second motor at the front, bringing total outputs to 211 hp and 292 Nm. This drops the century sprint to 7.5 seconds while keeping the same top speed. A larger 81.8 kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery increases driving range to 430 km under the same test cycle.
In terms of charging, the 2WD variant supports up to 85 kW of DC fast charging, while the iWD goes up to 104 kW. Both support 6.6 kW AC charging and offer Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function for powering small appliances and gear when needed.
For those serious off-roaders, the iCuar V23 boasts 210 mm of ground clearance and a water wading depth of 600 mm. The car also features an approach angle of 42 degrees, a departure angle of 41 degrees, and gradeability of up to 40%. In the 2WD variant, gradeability drops to 30%.
