Hyundai Motor Malaysia kickstarts partnership with Selangor FC

Hyundai Motor Malaysia (HMY) has officially kicked off its mobility partnership with Selangor FC, marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and the handover of a Hyundai Staria.

The partnership was first announced in early August 2025 and was formalised with the signing of the MOU by the President of Hyundai Motor Malaysia, Eric Lee, and the Chief Executive Officer of Selangor FC, Dr. Johan Kamal Hamidon.

Bearing witness to the MOU was Raja Muda of Selangor and Chairman of Selangor FC, His Highness Tengku Amir Shah Ibni Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj, alongside Managing Director of Hyundai Motor Malaysia, Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen.

This mobility partnership made its first public appearance during Selangor FC’s opening match of the season against JDT on August 8, 2025, with the team’s polo shirts bearing the Hyundai branding. This will be expanded across training jerseys and matchday experiences in the months ahead.

Managing Director of Hyundai Motor Malaysia, Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen, emphasised, “Globally, Hyundai’s belief in evolving alongside sport and its communities is reflected through decades of investment in football. Our involvement goes beyond performance; it’s about people, stories, and progress.”
