Zeekr has announced the establishment of a new national sales company (NSC) in Malaysia, christened Zeekr Intelligent Technology (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. In a statement, Zeekr Malaysia says that this move is a “significant milestone” for the brand in Southeast Asia, as it “strengthens its commitment to the Malaysian market”.
The new NSC will oversee wholesale operations, dealer network expansion, branding and marketing activities, as well as aftersales operations throughout the country.
The Chinese carmaker has a fairly turbulent history here in Malaysia. First introduced in Malaysia under Sentinel Automotive, distributorship for Zeekr was transferred to Preeminent Auto shortly after, with the former remaining as importer and dealer. Now with the establishment of the new NSC, Preeminent Auto will also be relegated to a dealership in the network.
On that note, Zeekr Malaysia has reiterated its “ambitious” growth plans, with plans for 10 showrooms and three service centres by the end of the year. Recently, the company also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with used car platform Carro for the appointment of the latter as its latest authorised dealer in Malaysia.
To date, the marque currently has two official showrooms – known as Zeekr Space – in Malaysia, with eight more set to open in the coming months, including within central Kuala Lumpur, Bandar Sunway, as well as other major cities nationwide such as Penang, Johor, Ipoh, and Melaka.
The service centres, meanwhile, will be located at Bandar Sunway (Selangor), Penang, and Johor Bahru, with operations scheduled to begin “by 2025” for all three outlets.

“Malaysia is one of the most important markets for Zeekr in Southeast Asia, and we are investing significant commitment and resources to build a strong and lasting presence here,” said Zeekr Southeast Asia Managing Director, Alex Bao.
“The establishment of this National Sales Company marks an important step in that journey. I strongly believe it will allow Zeekr to better connect with our customers — to listen to their voices, understand their needs, and serve them with greater care. This also reinforces our long-term commitment to Malaysia, with three key focus areas: expanding network availability, enhancing aftersales services, and increasing marketing investment,” Bao added.

The marque currently offers two models here in Malaysia, namely the Zeekr X and Zeekr 009. The former is a compact crossover, with two variants priced from RM155,800. Both variants are equipped with a 66kWh battery pack, offering ranges of up to 440 km on the Premium RWD, and 420 km on the Flagship AWD.
The Zeekr 009, meanwhile, is a luxury people carrier designed to compete against the Toyota Alphard and Vellfire duo, as well as new electrified rivals such as the Denza D9 and XPeng X9. The model was first announced in two variants: the Luxury Seven-seater at RM349,800, and Ultra Luxury Six-seater at RM359,800, however a more affordable Executive variant (est. RM310k) was also recently previewed at the Malaysia Autoshow 2025, offering longer range thanks to its single-motor setup.
Zeekr has also teased the 7X SUV for Malaysia, with an official launch scheduled for Q3 2025.
