Zeekr has released images of their flagship SUV, the 9x, on its Weibo ahead of the Auto Shanghai 2025 motor show. Now, we get to see it in the flesh for the first time and it is absolutely captivating.
Addressing the elephant in the room – Yes, the Zeekr 9X does look like a Rolls Royce Cullinan. Ignoring the overall silhouette, the front sports a very similar design to its MPV brother, the Zeekr 009, with a massive vertical front grille and split side mounted headlights.

Though we couldn’t get images of the rear, images from the official Weibo shows that it will carry two lights strips with the Zeekr name plate positioned in between. Take a closer look and you’ll see that the taillights have been designed to resemble crystals. It’s an effect that took 42,242 laser engravings to achieve.

Sadly, we don’t know what the cabin looks like either. However, the 2025 Zeekr 9X will be the first to feature Zeekr’s latest G-Pilot H9 autonomous driving system. Powered by the dual Thor chips, it’s got enough juice to support five LiDAR sensors and the advanced L3-Level autonomous driving.
Underneath the bonnet sits a plug-in-hybrid (PHEV) system with 2.0-litre turbo four-cylinder pumping out 279 hp (205 kW). Full power figures have yet to be announced but Zeekr promises that the 9X will be able to blast from 0 to 100 km/h in just three seconds.
