Are you in need of a new luxury MPV, but grown disillusioned from the boring boxy shapes of the Toyota Alphard or Vellfire? Well, have we got some news for you! The 2025 Xpeng X9 has just been launched here in Malaysia, and it could be yours from RM270,708 to stand out from the crowd.

The 2025 Xpeng X9 is available in three variants, starting with the base model Standard Range 2WD Pro at RM270,708, Long Range 2WD Pro at RM288,708, and the Long Range 2WD Pro Plus at the top of the tier at RM300,708.

Right off the bat, the 2025 Xpeng X9 blows every other luxury MPV out of the water in the looks department. Everywhere you look, the Xpeng X9 resembles something that is from science fiction. Every panel is sculpted to look the part of a vehicle cruising along the surface of Mars, all while keeping its occupants comfortable.

On the inside, that’s where the luxury riding experience begins. The second row-seats are treated to zero-gravity Aviation chairs with a multitude of adjustment settings, all of which can be controlled from the armrest.

In addition, the second and third row gets a 21-inch screen which unfolds from the cabin ceiling. So during long rides, you have the choice of listening to your favourite music or watching movies through your streaming service of choice.

The Xpeng X9 is powered by a front-mounted electric motor putting down 320 hp (235 kW) and 450 Nm of torque, which culminates to a 0-100 km/h time of 7.7 seconds and top speed of 200 km/h.

However, the Standard Range variant has a 84.5 kWh lithium ion phosphate (LFP) battery pack with 500 km of WLTP-rated range. Meanwhile, both Long Range variants get a larger 101.5 kWh nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery pack, which boasts a 590 km WLTP EV range.
