Bermaz Motor has launched the Mazda CX-5 MS Limited Edition at KLIMS 2024. This limited-edition package adds RM12,000 to the Mazda CX-5’s usual retail price, which ranges from RM146,879 to RM191,170, depending on the variant.
The MS Limited Edition kit offers a combination of aesthetic and performance upgrades, bringing the total cost of a Mazda CX-5 with the MS Limited Edition package equipped to between RM158,879 and RM203,170 on-the-road without insurance.
While the standard Mazda CX-5 exudes a refined elegance, those seeking a bolder, sportier look may find the MS Limited Edition more to their taste. It’s in the name, really – ‘MS’ stand for Mazdasports, a nameplate the company has previously used for similar upgrade packages for its older models.
This optional package injects a dose of aggression with a range of blacked-out exterior features, including:
- Body-coloured rear roof spoiler
- MS exhaust tips with MS initials
- Gloss black rear spoiler accents
- Gloss black front and rear bumper accents
- Gloss black side mirror accents
- Gloss black wheel arches
- Gloss black front and rear door arches
- Gloss black 19-inch alloy wheels
The limited edition also features interior enhancements, adding a sportier and more premium feel. These enhancements include:
- MS sport pedals
- Door trim finished in suede
- MS limited edition badge on the dashboard (Passenger side)
- Steering wheel wrapped in suede with top centre mark in red stitching
- Red push-start button
- Front seats with suede upholstery with MS initials in red
- MS-specific floor mats
In terms of performance enhancements, Mazda has installed a front strut bar in black, which reinforces the structural stability of the Mazda CX-5, according to the Japanese carmaker. That is pretty much the extent of the performance upgrades, though, as no changes were made in terms of powertrain.
That means the Mazda CX-5 MS Limited Edition is still powered by the same range of engines as before:
- Mazda CX-5 2.0G Mid and 2.0G High
- Engine: 2.0-litre naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder SkyActiv engine
