2026 Mazda CX-60 now available with new 3.3L inline-six engine and interior colours – AWD High Plus variant from RM253k

Bermaz Motor has quietly expanded the CX-60 lineup with a new engine option featuring the 3.3-litre mild-hybrid inline-six powertrain. Called the new 2026 Mazda CX-60 3.3G AWD High Plus, it is now listed on Mazda Malaysia’s website at RM252,873 on the road without insurance.

The new variant joins the existing CX-60 2.5G 2WD High, which was introduced late last year alongside the CX-80. With the former retaining its RM200,510 price tag, the new 3.3G AWD High Plus commands a RM52,363 premium over the four-cylinder variant.

The new 3.3G AWD High Plus variant, as indicated within its name, introduces a new turbocharged inline-six engine producing 280 hp and 450 Nm of torque. This is then paired with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system and a 0.33 kWh lithium-ion battery that contribute an additional 16 hp and 153 Nm of torque.

Power is sent to all four wheels via Mazda’s i-Activ AWD system and eight-speed automatic transmission. In comparison, the 2.5G variant develops 189 hp and 261 Nm from its naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine and retains a rear-wheel-drive layout.

The switch to all-wheel drive also brings additional capability. Besides the existing Normal and Sport drive modes, the new variants gain an Off-Road mode, along with Hill Descent Control (HDC) for improved capabilities on steep descents.

That’s where most differences stop. Across the range, the Mazda CX-60 continues to come standard with features such as LED headlamps and taillights with signature illumination, LED daytime running lights (DLR), Mazda advanced keyless entry and automatic rain-sensing windshield wipers with variable intermittent function.

Bermaz Motor is offering the new 3.3G AWD variant in two interior colour options: Tan and Pure White. However, the distinction doesn’t end there. Although all variants are fitted with the same 20-inch alloy wheels, each receives its own finish. The standard 2.5G High gets a traditional silver design, while the Tan variant adopts a sportier black finish. The Pure White model, however, is equipped with a more elegant dual-tone wheel design.

Inside, apart from its new upholstery options, it remains largely unchanged. Standard equipment includes dual 12.3-inch displays for the infotainment system and digital instrument cluster, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, and a head-up display. The only notable addition is a set of 10-way power-adjustable front seats with ventilation, up from the eight-way units fitted to the 2.5G variant.

The Tan Nappa leather interior combines black and tan upholstery for a more traditional premium look. The lighter tan finish can be found on key touch points such as the dashboard, inner steering wheel rim, seats and door cards, while areas including the upper dashboard, door handles, outer steering wheel rim and centre armrest are finished in black.

Reinforcing its more upmarket positioning, the cabin also gains a black headliner as well as faux wood trim inserts on the dashboard, centre console and door cards — replacing the textured plastic finishes found in the standard 2.5G variant.

The Pure White Nappa leather option, meanwhile, offers a noticeably brighter and airier ambience. More attention appears to have been paid to the dashboard treatment here, which is finished in a unique woven fabric complete with “Musubu” knotting. The seats, door cards and sections of the centre console are upholstered in white Nappa leather, while the steering wheel remains black — understandable given a lighter-coloured wheel would get dirty easily.

Complementing the lighter theme is a light grey headliner, paired with really curly maple-style trim panels, almost similar to those found on high-end guitars.

Whichever interior colour you choose, the price remains unchanged at RM252,873 on the road without insurance. Included in the price is a five-year manufacturer’s warranty and a five-year free maintenance programme covering labour, parts, and lubricants. Both the warranty and maintenance coverage are valid for five years or 100,000km, whichever comes first.
