Enjoy up to 20 months of free instalments when you buy an MG EV today!

It’s the year-end, and if you’re like us, that means scouring the web for year-end deals on your dream car. If deals are what you’re after, then the good news is that you don’t have to look that much further – because SAIC Motor Malaysia has introduced a flurry of exciting year-end promotions for its electric vehicles (EVs), offering up to 20 months of free instalments worth up to RM26,000

In celebration of MG’s 100th anniversary, customers who purchase an MG ZS EV, MG4 EV Lux, and MG4 EV Standard can be enjoy free instalments of 20 months (valued at RM26,000), 12 months (valued at RM16,000), and eight months (valued at RM8,500) respectively.

Accounting for the substantial savings, you’ll only be paying approximately RM100k for the MG ZS EV, RM113k for the MG4 EV Lux, and RM95.5k for the MG4 EV Standard!

The MG ZS EV is offered in a single variant here in Malaysia, featuring a single front-motor electric powertrain offering up to 176 hp and 280 Nm, enough to give the compact crossover a century sprint time of eight seconds. Powered by a 51.1 kWh battery pack, the MG ZS EV boasts a driving range of 320 km (WLTP), and takes 54 minutes to recharge (10-80%) using a 50 kW DC charger, or seven hours via the on-board 7 kWh AC charger.

Despite its new RM100k price tag, the MG ZS EV is still well-equipped, with standard equipment including the 17-inch two-tone alloy wheels, leather upholstery, six-way power adjustable front seats, and a suite of advanced driver assistance features that comes with autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop-go functionality, lane centring assist, blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert, and auto high beam.

As for the MG4 EV, both the Standard and Lux variants are powered by a single rear-mounted electric motor; the Standard gets 170 hp and 250 Nm that enables a 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.5 seconds, while the Lux sports a more powerful motor at 203 hp. The Lux also gets a larger 64 kWh battery pack that offers up to 435 km of range (WLTP), as compared to the 51 kWh pack on the Standard with a 350 km range.

Charging speeds differ between the two, too – the Standard supports DC fast charging of up to 117 kW, translating to a 10-80% charge in 37 minutes, while the Lux takes up to 135 kW DC, taking just 26 minutes to do the same. The Standard also comes with a 7 kW on-board AC charger, taking 8 hours for a full charge, while the Lux supports up to 11 kW AC input, dropping its charging time down to 5.1 hours.
