Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia has just delivered the first 100 units of the Tank 300 SUV to their new owners in a special handover ceremony. The off-road SUV reached the momentous milestone in less than one month since its official launch in Malaysia in July.
The lucky car number 100 was delivered to Professor Dr. Steven Leow, who said that he was infatuated with the Tank 300 ever since he first experienced the car in China. “I never expected an off-road vehicle to compare its comfort level with a sedan car,” Leow shared.
As part of its launch promotions, GWM Malaysia is offering the first 300 owners of the Tank 300 a special early-bird package, consisting of a lifetime drivetrain warranty (limited to first-hand owner), five years of free service inclusive of labour and parts, a Thule Paramount backpack worth RM999, and a Thule Adventure Kit Voucher worth RM8,000.
In addition, all customers who have completed their vehicle registration by 12 September 2024 will also stand a chance to win a Tank 300 adventure trip to the Alxa Desert in China.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, GWM Malaysia Managing Director, Cui An Qi said, “We are delighted for the overwhelming response from the Malaysian customers. This achievement has significantly strengthened our customers’ confidence in our brand and reinforced their support for our top-quality products.”
The GWM Tank 300 is now available in Malaysia in a single variant, priced at RM250,000 on-the-road and without insurance. The “luxury off-road SUV” is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four petrol engine, sending 220 hp and 380 Nm to all four wheels via a electronically selectable four-wheel drive (4WD) system and an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
