Michelin has launched three sport and road range motorcycle tyres in Malaysia. The new tyres are namely the Michelin Power 6, Michelin Power GP 2, and the Michelin Anakee Road.
The Michelin Power 6, priced between RM1,020 and RM2,000 per set in Malaysia, is available in a range of sizes and is compatible with motorcycles over 300 cc. It is also said to deliver sporty handling as well as optimised grip in both wet and dry conditions.
The Michelin Power GP 2 was originally crafted for the track but is now certified for street performance. Developed by the same team of engineers and drawing upon Michelin’s track record of over 400 wins in MotoGP, the Michelin Power GP 2 is priced between RM1,300 and RM1,700 per set in Malaysia, and is tailored for owners of super sports bikes, including those with engines exceeding 600 cc. The tyre is said to offer enhanced grip on both wet and dry surfaces, marking a significant leap forward for handling on Malaysian road conditions.
Last but not least is the Michelin Anakee Road, priced between RM1,300 and RM1,700 per set in Malaysia. It is an on-road tyre crafted specifically for trail motorcycles and is designed with a 90/10 ratio for on-road/off-road use. As its name suggests, the Anakee Road tyre is a combination of the Anakee and Road tyre range as Michelin aims to cover all usage and consumer expectations for trail motorcycles.
