Michelin Malaysia has announced the local availability of the new Michelin Pilot Sport 5 Energy and Primacy 5 Energy tyres.
As the company’s first sport tyre with a double European A-label rating for wet grip and rolling resistance, the Pilot Sport 5 Energy enhances driving feel while reducing energy consumption.
This is achieved via Michelin’s Dynamic Response for precise steering and Piano Acoustic technology for a quieter drive. It also features the patented Premium Touch technology, which creates a matte black velvet-effect finish on the sidewall.
Focusing on comfort, the Primacy 5 Energy is Michelin’s first AAA-rated premium tyre line, securing top European A-label scores for noise, grip, and rolling resistance. It utilises Silent Rib Gen-3 and Piano Acoustic Tuning to minimise road noise throughout the tyre’s lifespan.
Both ranges employ MaxTouch technology to maximise road contact and evenly distribute forces during acceleration and braking, which extends tread life without compromising safety.

Additionally, the Michelin Slim Belt uses thinner top belts to improve fuel consumption or battery range for electric vehicles. The Pilot Sport 5 Energy uses a Bi-Compound setup for superior grip, while the Primacy 5 Energy features the Energy Passive 2.0 compound to ensure maximum longevity.
The Michelin Primacy 5 Energy is available in 19 sizes for 18- to 21-inch wheels with prices from RM614 to RM1,624, while the Michelin Pilot Sport 5 Energy comes in 17 sizes for the same wheel diameters, priced between RM930 and RM2,006. Both ranges can be found at all authorised Michelin tyre dealers nationwide.
