Tesla launches showroom in Pavilion Damansara Heights, 9 AC Destination Chargers

Tesla Malaysia has just launched its second showroom, also known as an Experience Centre, in Pavilion Damansara Heights. This is just less than a month after the launch of the company’s headquarters (HQ) and first Experience Centre at Cyberjaya.

But unlike its headquarters, the new Experience Centre is much smaller in size, as it is located inside the shopping complex, and not a building of its own. Still, this new centre is in no way less important than the HQ, as it is part of Tesla’s investment plan to set up more Experience Centres across Malaysia.

The newly opened Experience Centre is capable of displaying up to three cars. There is also a Tesla Supercharger along with a Destination charger being displayed here.

Tesla’s Pavilion Damansara Heights Experience Centre was first sighted under renovation back in September, with photos of the renovation site being shared online. Like the company’s Cyberjaya HQ, the new showroom has been set up in a rather short time, which in this case is just under a month’s time.

However, unlike traditional showrooms of other brands, the Pavilion Damansara Heights Experience Centre is essentially for customers to check out Tesla vehicles physically. To purchase the cars, customers will have to make their orders online at Tesla’s website.

Aside from the Experience Centre, Tesla has also set up nine Destination chargers that are capable of providing up to 22 kW of AC charging. Out of the nine chargers, five are meant for public use, while the remaining four are for internal use within Tesla Malaysia. The chargers are located at Pavilion Damansara Heights’ level B1 parking.

According to the company, charging rates have also yet to be announced, therefore Tesla owners out there will have to wait for that to officially utilise the Destination chargers here at Pavilion Damansara Heights.
