Tesla Malaysia has launched its second car in Malaysia and it is the highly-anticipated Tesla Model 3. Bookings have already been opened for the car starting September this year and the Model 3 finally makes its first public appearance in Malaysia. Offered in two variants, prices of the Tesla Model 3 start at RM189,000.

The Tesla Model 3 arrives in Malaysia in its facelifted ‘Highland” version which sports sleeker-looking headlights and taillights. Other things on the exterior of the Tesla Model 3 still look very familiar although Tesla says that it has changed about 50% of the Tesla Model 3 with this facelift.
Like The Tesla Model Y, the Tesla Model 3 is also packaged in a manner with minimal basic items before options. This includes only one body colour and only one interior colour, namely “Pearl White Multi Coat”. However, before we dive into the standard and optional items, let us first address the two variants of the Tesla Model 3.
Most affordable in the Tesla Model 3’s lineup is the Tesla Model 3 Rear-Wheel Drive which has 513 km of all-electric range. It is driven by a rear-mounted single electric motor and it does the century sprint in 6.1 seconds.
The Tesla Model 3 Long Range AWD, as its name suggests, has more electric range at 629 km. It also gets a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup which helps the car do the century sprint in 4.4 seconds.

Both the Rear Wheel Drive and Long Range All-Wheel Drive versions of the Model 3 come with the following standard exterior features:

The Tesla Model 3 facelift introduces two new colours – Ultra Red and Stealth Grey. Optional exterior equipment include:

Inside, the dashboard has been redesigned to modernize the Tesla Model 3 with the addition of ambient lighting at the base of the windscreen and a new design for the trim that runs the width of the dashboard (this can be personalized). The large landscape head unit remains.
Controversial design elements in the cabin of the Tesla Model 3 include the lack of an indicator stalk and the lack of a conventional gear selector.
