2023 BMW X1 sDrive20i xLine (CKD) launched in Malaysia, RM260k



BMW Malaysia has just launched the BMW X1 sDrive20i xLine. The arrival of this internal combustion engine (ICE) powered SUV has taken place just a couple of months after the launch of the all-electric BMW iX1 xDrive30. Locally assembled (CKD) here in Malaysia, the BMW X1 sDrive20i is priced at RM259,800 (on-the-road, without insurance, with extended warranty and service package).

On the outside, the BMW X1 sDrive20i xLine in Malaysia features the brand’s large kidney grille, together with a pearl chrome frame and high-gloss black slats. The SUV is also fitted with adaptive LED headlights, along with new daytime running lights (DRLs).

Completing the BMW X1 sDrive20i’s exterior design are the stylised matte Aluminium underride protection panel and xLine bumpers in the front and rear. Its mirror covers are finished in Glacier Silver, while its door sill panels are designed with BMW designation in Matte Aluminium.

As standard, the BMW X1 sDrive20i xLine in Malaysia is fitted with a set of 19-inch light alloy wheels in V-Spoke style. Customers can also choose to have the BMW X1 sDrive20i xLine in five different colours. This includes Black Sapphire, Alpine White, Cape York Green, Phytonic Blue, and Space Silver.

Powering the BMW X1 sDrive20i xLine in Malaysia is the 2.0-litre 4-cylinder Twin Power Turbo engine, paired with a 7-speed Steptronic Dual Clutch Sport transmission. With power sent to the front wheels, the SUV’s output is rated at 204 hp and 300 Nm.

Inside, the Malaysian-spec BMW X1 sDrive20i xLine is equipped with the BMW Curved Display just like its all-electric sibling. The curved display consists of a 10.25-inch instrument cluster and a 10.7-inch Control Display. Together with the BMW Live Cockpit Plus, the displays run on the BMW Operating System 8.

The BMW X1 xDrive20i xLine also comes with black perforated Sensatec upholstery and an M Headliner Anthracite, together with an M leather steering wheel with shift paddles. There is also a ‘floating armrest’ which eliminates the central tunnel to free up space for storage in the centre console.

BMW has also fitted the SUV with a total of six My Modes, which customers can use to customise their SUV. This comprises of Efficient, Sport, Relax, Expressive, Personal Mode, and Art Modes.

To recap the BMW X1 sDrive20i xLine has just been launched in Malaysia, and is priced at RM259,800. The price tag is on-the-road, without insurance, and inclusive of the complete BMW Group Malaysia Premium Ownership experience. The package includes the manufacturer’s 5-year unlimited mileage Warranty with Free Scheduled Service Programme, the BMW Roadside Assistance and Accident Hotline service, as well as the BMW Service Online service.

From now until October 31, 2023, BMW Malaysia is also offering its customers a RM10,000 rebate when financing the BMW X1 sDrive20i xLine with BMW Group Financial Services Malaysia’s Easy Drive Financing Plan. With the financing plan, the new SUV can be owned with a monthly instrument plan starting from RM2,838 (based on estimates of 80% loan on a five-year tenure). This is compared to the original figure of RM 3,015.00 without the limited-time rebate.
