2026 BMW 218 Gran Coupe – now with M Sport treatment, from RM205k

BMW Group Malaysia has given the 2 Series Gran Coupe the M Sport treatment with the new 218 Gran Coupe M Sport. Launched alongside the new M3 CS Touring and the M2 CS at the BMW Clubhouse event, the car is priced from RM204,800 on the road, without insurance, and inclusive of the BMW Service and Repair Inclusive (BSRI) package.

If you’ve been eyeing the 218 Gran Coupe for a while now but think it just looks a little too tame, the new M Sport variant solves exactly that. Up front, it gets a blacked-out Iconic Glow kidney grille that illuminates at night, while the window surrounds are finished in gloss black for a stealthier appearance.

It also gains a more aggressive M Sport body kit, with larger front air intakes and a rear bumper featuring a diffuser-inspired design. Further differentiating it from the base model is its new 18-inch M light alloy wheels in Y-spoke Style 975M Bicolour.

Carrying the M theme into the cabin, the interior receives several driver-focused upgrades. These include an M leather steering wheel, M-specific graphics for the digital instrument cluster, and an M-specific head-up display.

Power has not changed, which means you can expect the same 1.5-litre three-cylinder mill producing 156 hp and 230 Nm of torque. Power is delivered to the front wheels only (FWD) via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT), allowing for a 0-100 km/h sprint in just 8.6 seconds. The car is also fitted with M Adaptive Dampers, inspiring more excitement on the twisty backroads.

The BMW 218 Gran Coupe M Sport is priced from RM204,800 on the road, without insurance, and inclusive of the BSRI package.
