After first opened for booking in late November, followed by its public debut at the Drive Auto Fair at Setia Alam, Dinamikjaya Motors Sdn Bhd, the official distributor of Kia vehicles in Malaysia, has officially announced the price of the all-new Kia Carnival.
The large 11-seater “Grand Utility Vehicle” that is fully-imported from South Korea is priced from RM196,340.80, on-the-road without insurance. Dinamikjaya Motors is also adding in a five-year/100,000 km free maintenance package in the price, with the warranty period having the same mileage and coverage period.
The new Kia Carnival is powered by a 2.2-litre turbodiesel engine making 199 hp and 440 Nm of torque, with power sent to the front wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Key features on the large Kia Carnival include LED lighting at both ends of the vehicle, with unique signature graphics, smart powered sliding doors and tailgate, 18-inch wheels, rain-sensing wipers and roof rails.
Inside, the seating configuration can be as little spacious as a six-seater, expanding up to 11 seats. The flexibility come via the two middle seats that can also be folded to make a walk-through aisle to the fourth row. The fourth row meanwhile can be neatly hidden and level with the boot floor when not in use.
Key comfort features in the large MPV include three-zone air-conditioning, manual sunshades for the second and third rows, tinting film on the windows, seven USB ports, a 12.3-inch touch screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity as well as a wireless charger.
At the safety front, the all-new Kia Carnival will be fitted with seven airbags, inclusive of a driver’s knee airbag. The fitment of advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are blind-spot warning with rear cross-traffic assist and surround-view monitor system.
