The Toyota Hilux, Fortuner, and Innova – which makes up UMW Toyota Motor’s IMV (Innovative International Multi-Purpose Vehicle) range – has been updated in Malaysia for 2021 with additional goodies across the board for improved convenience and comfort, and updated petrol engines to meet the upcoming Euro4 emissions regulations.

All three models can now be ordered at all authorised Toyota showrooms nationwide, as well as the Toyota Online Showroom.

TOYOTA HILUX

The Toyota Hilux range remains unchanged for 2021, with five different variants ranging from the single-cab 2.4 to the Hilux 2.8 Rogue, starting from RM92,880 (on the road, without insurance).

The two range topping variants – 2.4V and 2.8 Rogue – now get a dual-zone climate control system in place of the single-zone set-up previously.

TOYOTA FORTUNER

As part of the update, the entry-level Toyota Fortuner 2.4 that was previously offered solely to East Malaysian customers will now be available nationwide, alongside the existing 2.7 SRZ and 2.8 VRZ variants. Pricing for the new Toyota Fortuner starts at RM169,167 (on the road, without insurance, inclusive of SST exemptions), with sales scheduled to commence in January 2022.

For the 2021 update, the front air-conditioner of the Fortuner 2.8 VRZ and 2.7 SRZ have also been updated to a dual-zone climate control system. A Qi wireless charging pad is also now available for all variants, while the rear USB port on the 2.8 VRZ is now changed to a Type C port.

Additionally, the 166 hp/245 Nm 2.7-litre naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol mill on the Fortuner 2.7 SRZ has also been updated to comply with the Euro4 emmisions regulations (up from Euro2) that will come into effect in 2022.

TOYOTA INNOVA

As for the Toyota Innova MPV, all three variants (2.0X, 2.0G and 2.0E) have now been updated with a Qi wireless charging pad as standard. Additionally, the 2.0-litre petrol engine in all three variants has also been upgraded to meet the stricter Euro4 emission control standards.

The new Toyota Innova is priced from RM115,553 on the road, without insurance, and inclusive of the SST exemptions, and will be available for sale in showrooms starting January 2022.

As usual, all purchases of a Toyota vehicle comes as standard with a five-year unlimited-mileage warranty (aside from Hilux, limited to 150,000 km). UMW Toyota Motor also offers a wide range of financing plans, including subscription plans, to suit different buyers’ needs.
