As an ongoing commitment to offer quality aftersales services for its customers, Volvo Car Malaysia today unveiled a new warranty programme, called ‘Customer Lifetime Parts Warranty’ that aims to give all Volvo customers added peace of mind throughout their vehicle ownership.

The warranty programme is automatically eligible for all customers who have purchased and installed Volvo genuine parts at an authorised Volvo dealership from 1 October 2021 onwards. And as the name suggests, the warranty will be valid for the entirety of the car’s lifetime, as long as it’s still under the ownership of the registered car owner.

Under the warranty programme, in the event that customers require repair or replacement for any genuine Volvo parts due to a material or manufacturing defect, Volvo Car Malaysia will repair and replace the part free of charge.

For customers with older Volvo models who have not visited an authorised Volvo service centre for more than two years, their cars will be required to undergo a Volvo Health Check to determine that it’s in good condition and has not been modified or tempered with in any way.

The customers will only be able to purchase parts under the warranty programme if the health check is passed, and will then be required to send their car back to any Volvo authorised dealership for subsequent services to ensure that the warranty remains valid.

Interested customers should also note that the warranty programme does not cover the regular wear and tear parts, as outlined in the warranty manual. The Volvo authorised dealerships nationwide will be able to advise you on the full scope of parts covered.
