Following the launch of the Volvo Selekt certified used car programme back in June last year, Volvo Car Malaysia (VCM) today unveiled a brand-new digital service, bringing its Volvo Selekt pre-owned car buying experience online.
Called the Volvo Used Car Locator, the new digital service’s online inventory includes both Volvo Selekt cars and other Volvo quality used cars from all Volvo dealerships nationwide, making it easier and more convenient to shop for a certified used Volvo model.
Volvo Selekt models are only available at Sisma Auto in Glenmarie, Selangor, and iRoll Auto in Juru, Penang, while the “Volvo quality used cars” models are made available at 12 other dealerships nationwide. Through the new Volvo Used Car Locator service, you’ll be able to browse through all of these listings at the comfort of your own home, as soon as they are listed for sale by their respective dealers.
The website also provides full details of all the cars listed for sale, alongside financing calculator and contact forms to the respective dealerships directly. Customers will be able to filter for the used cars based on location.
Volvo Selekt cars are guaranteed to be under five years old with less than 100,000 km on the clock. They each also come with a minimum of 12 months warranty, a complimentary 1-year maintenance service package (VSA 1), as well as 12 months of Roadside Assistance.
The Volvo Selekt cars will have also received a 125-point inspection, alongside all software upgrades and genuine part replacements to ensure that they are road-ready from day one.
If you’re located further away from the two Volvo Selekt outlets, there’s nothing to worry, too – all Volvo pre-owned vehicles are also checked by their respective dealerships, using the same criterion as the Selekt models, to ensure that they are all up to Volvo’s standards.
The Volvo Selekt programme has enjoyed a warm welcome by Malaysians since its introduction, with Volvo Selekt cars contributing 15% to the total Volvo used car sales in 2020.
Volvo Car Malaysia Managing Director, Nalin Jain said, “The positive response we have received from Volvo Selekt has motivated us to give customers more choices on how they can purchase a used Volvo car while maintaining all the criteria of excellence, reliability and performance that is expected of a premium car.
“In line with our move to be technologically savvy, we now introduce the Volvo Used Car Locator, to elevate customers’ experience in acquiring and owning a Volvo car, all from the convenience of their smartphones or laptops. This initiative comes at an apt time as we continue to be mindful of our safety and health, and practise physical distancing wherever possible,” Jain added.
