Volvo Car Malaysia has just announced that all Volvo cars registered from the 1st of January 2021 onwards will now come with a 5-year unlimited mileage factory warranty, at no additional cost.
The new extended factory warranty is only exclusive to privately owned vehicles and not applicable to vehicles registered or used for commercial purposes i.e. a company car.
Previously, Volvo only offered a 3-year/100,000km factory warranty with a 2-year/20,000km warranty through the Extended Warranty Programme (EWP) by an external insurance partner.
“This new offering is part of our dedication to quality, particularly in relation to our vehicles and customer relationship. We want our customers to feel supported throughout the ownership of their vehicle and we believe that the new extended factory warranty is a step in the right direction as a premium car brand that is rooted in safety,” said Volvo Car Malaysia, Managing Director, Nalin Jain.
This is another step up in Volvo Cars Malaysia’s warranty game. Last year, the company also announced that customers who purchase a Volvo Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle (PHEV) will be entitled to an extended high voltage battery warranty of up to eight years or 160,000 km (whichever comes first).
The new extended factory warranty is provided for privately owned vehicles only, and not applicable to vehicles registered or used for commercial purposes.
