The Toyota Corolla Cross has enjoyed quite a notable success in Thailand, selling over 22,500 units over the past year since its launch in July 2020, making it the best-selling C-segment SUV in the Land of Smiles. So to celebrate, the company has now unveiled a new Special Edition Modellista model for the Corolla Cross.
Available exclusively to the Hybrid Premium Safety and Hybrid Premium variants, and only limited to 250 units, the Toyota Corolla Cross Modellista Special Edition is dressed up for a sportier look with a new exterior body kit consisting of front and rear bumper extensions, side skirts, and an exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels.
Customers can also further specify their special edition models with a black roof (at extra cost) for the full sporty crossover look.

Aside from these aesthetic tweaks, though, the rest of the car is unchanged from what’s already offered in Thailand. Underneath the bonnet is a 98 hp/142 Nm 1.8-litre petrol engine, paired with an electric motor that makes 72 hp and 163 Nm for a total system output of 122 hp, with power sent exclusively to the front wheels via an e-CVT gearbox.
The Hybrid Premium Safety variant, as the name suggests, adds the Toyota Safety Sense advanced driver assistance system, which includes features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, autonomous emergency braking, and auto high-beam.
The Toyota Corolla Cross Modellista is also only available in three exterior colour choices: Celestite Gray Metallic, Metal Stream Metallic, and Platinum White Pearl – the last one being an extra-cost option at 10,000 baht (approx. RM1,276).
As for the interior, customers can choose between a regular all-black cabin, or a Terra Rossa two-tone upholstery option.
The Modellista kit for the Toyota Corolla Cross is valued at 41,500 baht (approx. RM5.3k), which brings the total price (without cost options) up to 1,130,500 baht (approx. RM144k) and 1,240,500 baht (approx RM155k) for the Hybrid Premium and Hybrid Premium Safety respectively.
