Together with the announcement of the new rugged variant, Honda also released a teaser video that shows off the rear end of the SUV.
The TrailSport edition looks set for a full reveal really soon as Honda said it would hit the dealerships later this year. The TrailSport editions will most likely be seen on the Honda Pilot and Honda Passport SUV models in the US. Yes, those are actual model names.
Not much about it is has been revealed although Honda said it represents the next chapter in its off-road vehicles and brings new styling to its SUV line-up.
Honda also said the first models to be given the TrailSport treatment will feature rugged front and rear styling, durable body cladding and interior touches like high-contrast orange stitching and signature all-weather floor mats.
In time, TrailSport models will also come with more aggressive tyres, increased ground clearance, off-road suspension and underbody protection.
