Land Rover announced that they would be making the limited edition Defender Trophy Edition, and organising an expedition in North Carolina, USA, where owners will get to participate. Only 220 units will be produced.

Inspired by the Land Rover Classic Defender Works V8 Trophy, the new Trophy Edition is based on the 2022 Land Rover Defender 110 and gets the same Eastnor Yellow colour that we’ve been so familiar with.

It features a special vehicle wrap inspired by the Defender Works V8 Trophy, an Extended Black Exterior Pack, Advanced Off-road Capability Pack, a tow hitch receiver, the ClearSight Rear View feature, and air suspension. The ClearSight Rear View feature offers a view of the rear end through the Defender’s 11.4-inch touchscreen.

The Defender Trophy Edition is fitted with additional all-terrain equipment which includes an expedition roof rack, front undercarriage cover, a deployable ladder, two winch kits, mud flaps, and an integrated air compressor.

Unfortunately, all 220 units will be sold exclusively in the USA. Each purchase comes with two entries for a one-day off-road expedition, the Land Rover US Trophy Competition. The winner from the 90 participating teams will go on to compete at the Land Rover Trophy Competition in Eastnor Castle, Herefordshire, England. Coincidentally it’s the same location that Land Rover uses to test and develop their vehicles.
