Following the announcement of the category winners, the Women’s World Car of the Year awards has named the all-new Land Rover Defender as their World Car of the Year.

Following are the category winners as announced last week:

Best Urban Car – Peugeot 208
Best Family Car – Skoda Octavia
Best Luxury Car – Lexus LC500 Convertible
Best Sports Car – Ferrari F8 Spider
Best Urban SUV – Peugeot 2008
Best Medium SUV – Land Rover Defender
Best Large SUV – Kia Sorento
Best 4×4 & Pick-up – Ford F-150
Best EV – Honda e

A total of 50 female motoring journalists from 38 countries participated in the voting process. These vehicles were evaluated based on aspects of performance, comfort, safety, value for money, and technology. The vehicles selected were launched between January to December 2020.

“The Women’s World Car of the Year gives enormous value because its decisions represent the liking and preferences of millions of women drivers around the globe,” said Women’s World Car of the Year, Executive President, Marta Garcia.
