All-new Kia Sportage teased, large and wide display to dominate the interior

After a successful introduction of the EV6 fully-electric crossover, Kia is starting the second half of 2021 by introducing the all-new Kia Sportage. For now, only teaser images are being shared.

The Kia Sportage, now in its fifth generation, is the second model to feature the brand’s latest ‘Opposites United’ design language that utilises a combination of sharp stylistic elements and sculptural shapes.

The all-new Sportage has a muscular stance and strong yet refined silhouette. Notable new details include the crisp, taught character lines that ripple across the surfaces.

Without any images, Kia says the front creates a thought-provoking statement, with a detailed-orientated black grille graphic spanning the width of the face. At the rear, muscular shoulder lines drop gently to meet the slim taillamp, which flanks the new Kia logo and Sportage emblem.

The interior design sketch reveals a driver-orientated space that plays with boldness in character, softness in qualities and innovation in technology.  The dashboard meanwhile is highlighted by an integrated curved display, spanning more than half the width of the dashboard.

The dashboard has a strong resemblance to the recently launched Kia EV6. In the EV, the curved display is a combination of two displays, each measuring 12.3 inches.

Kia will fully reveal the all-new Sportage in July, beginning with South Korea.
