360-degree camera now available as option on Honda HR-V and BR-V – RM3.3k

Honda Malaysia is now offering a new optional accessory for the Honda HR-V and BR-V, in the form of a 360-degree surround view monitor. The Advanced 360 HD Camera accessory will cost RM3,300, and is available either as an optional accessory on brand-new cars, or retrofitted onto existing models.

The new 360-degree surround view monitor is compatible for the Honda HR-V facelift (2019 onwards), as well as the 2020 Honda BR-V – the latter only available on the range-topping V variant, as it’s the only variant in the line-up with a touchscreen infotainment display.

Being a genuine Honda accessory, the 360-degree surround view monitor comes with a pre-fitted casing for either models to ensure a seamless installation. As usual, the surround view monitor comes with four cameras – on the front grille, left and right wing mirrors, and rear bootlid – to provide a birds-eye view image on the infotainment display by stitching the images together.

The Honda-HR-V was last updated earlier this year, featuring a new touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Prices for the new Honda HR-V starts at RM104,000 for the entry-level 1.8E variant, moving up to RM118,582 for the range-topping 1.8 RS.

As for the BR-V, the 2020 model was updated with several minor aesthetic tweaks, and a new seven-inch touchscreen infotainment display on the range-topping variant – the latter is what allows for this new add-on accessory. Prices start at RM89,900 for the 1.5E, and RM96,900 for the 1.5V variant.

All prices are on-the-road, without insurance, and inclusive of the sales tax exemptions, which will be applicable until the 30th of June 2021.
