UMW Toyota has launched the all-new 4th generation Toyota Harrier in Malaysia with prices starting from RM249,706.50 and here’s some images to whet your appetite for Toyota’s latest premium SUV.
At the heart of it is a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated Dynamic Force engine paired to Toyota’s Direct Shift CVT gearbox with 173 hp and 203 Nm to drive the front wheels. The Harrier is built on the same TNGA-K platform as the Toyota Camry and the RAV4 we reviewed.
The Harrier comes with LED everything on the outside, including headlamps, fog lights, and even the tail lights. At the back, it even comes with a hands-free tailgate. The exterior is finished with 18-inch wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Alenza tyres.
Inside is where it gets a little more exciting. The Harrier comes equipped with a head up display, ventilated seats, a digital rear view mirror and a panoramic moon roof that can be frosted at the click of a button!
Toyota engineers paid special attention to further reduce noise, vibration and harshness (NVH), and that meant using highly efficient sound-absorbing windows.
As for safety, the Harrier comes with seven airbags, a blindspot monitor, rear cross traffic alert with auto brake, and the full suite of Toyota Safety Sense features. They include Pre Collision Braking, Lane Departure Alert with Lane Tracing Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (all speeds) and Automatic High Beam.
