Test drive from the comfort of your own home with Ford’s new test drive delivery service

Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC), the sole franchise holder for Ford vehicles in Malaysia is introducing an additional test drive option for customers through its new Home or Office Delivery Test Drive, bringing the test drive right to their doorstep without having to visit a physical dealership.

The service is available for customers within a 10 km radius to their preferred dealership. To request for a test drive, customers can either contact the Ford dealership directly, submit an online test drive request via the SDAC-Ford website here, or by sending a message to the Ford Digital Salesperson WhatsApp chat line.

SDAC-Ford recently unveiled the Ranger FX4, featuring additional styling upgrades and kits as standard.

As is usual these days, strict precautionary health and safety measures will be practiced by the sales consultant during the test drive session. These include mandatory use of face masks, recording of body temperature, and sanitising of the vehicle. The Ford sales consultant will be seated in the back seat during the test drive to adhere to current social distancing practices.

SDAC Managing Director, Syed Ahmad Muzri Syed Faiz said, “During this period, we understand that customers are in search of additional services for added convenience. That is why we are providing an additional test drive option of delivering our test drive vehicles to our customers home or office to show our commitment of continuously enhancing our customer support and service.”

For those who prefer to carry out their test drives at a traditional brick-and-mortar dealership, Ford reassures that all necessary safety precautions are being enforced at all of their dealership outlets.

Temperature will be recorded upon entering the premise, and hand sanitisers will be placed throughout the showrooms for customers’ usage. High frequency touchpoints will be frequently sanitised, while all customers and staff are also required to practice social distancing.

The company is also currently running the  ‘Service Relief Promotion’ campaign until the 30th of July 2020. Deals on offer include discounts of up to 20% on selected OEM partstiming belt and lubricant packages, and 10% discount on the labour fee on said packages. Other customers can make use of the complimentary 27-point vehicle inspection.
