Legacy Racing Team, an all-Malaysian racing team has officially launched today at a signing ceremony between the team and main sponsor, IBH Investment Bank and Throne Legacy Capital.
The team will be competing in the Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia – GT3 AM Class, making them the first all-Malaysian team to take part in the racing series.
Headed by team principal Kelvin Liang, the Legacy Racing Team will be racing in car 76, a Mercedes-Benz AMG GT3 piloted by local motorsports veterans Leona Chin and Tengku Djan Ley.
The car will be donned in a special livery, which was also launched today, finished in red, black and chrome, along with a Malaysian flag design on the roof.
The 2020 season of the Blancpain GT World Challenge Asia will begin on the 28th March 2020 at the Sepang International Circuit. The series will race in various circuits in the region, including Chang International Circuit, Fuji Speedway and Suzuka International Circuit, before concluding the season in Shanghai.
