We’re car guys. But still, we’d usually prefer to sleep in on Saturday mornings instead of going out for “weekend drives”… for the most part. But this particular morning was a little different – because not only did we get to see and drive some very cool cars, we also get to do something a little more special – giving back to the people in need.
When GC received the call to join the Drive of Hope, he immediately did what he knew best – gathering up the best battalion (in this case, a BMW X7, plus Malaysian motorsports athlete and friend of AutoBuzz.my, Leona Chin) and off he went.
The line-up of cars that attended the Drive of Hope included our BMW X7, two Range Rover Autobiographies, Porsche Cayenne, Maserati Levante, Land Rover Defender, G-Wagen (plus a Brabus B700 too!), Range Rover Velar, Bentley Bentayga, as well as a BMW X5.
If you’re wondering why they’re all SUVs, well, that’s because the terrain to get to the destination – the Kampung Ulu Lakai Orang Asli settlement – actually needs some proper all-wheel drive muscles.
So what did we actually do at Kampung Ulu Lakai? Watch the video above to find out! Be sure to stay until the end as there’s a very special ‘world premiere’ that you wouldn’t want to miss. 😉
