Michelin recently hosted the Michelin Pilot Experience at the Sepang International Circuit, treating us to a day filled of exhilarating experiences behind the wheel of a BMW X3, the Ranger Raptor and a Formula 4 race car powered by Renault.

The BMW X3s were equipped with the new Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV tyres and were put to the test against a competitor tyre through a series of wet and dry courses for slalom and braking maneuvers.

The differences, couldn’t be more noticeable especially on the wet courses as the Michelins clearly felt more confidence-inspiring on the slippery surface.

The highlight of the day had to be the 140 hp Renault-powered Formula 4 race car that’s operated with paddle shifters and weighs just 470 kg thanks to its carbon fibre chassis. As to how it felt, I’ll leave it to you to find out in the video.

The biggest takeaway from the video however, is how much more superior the Pilot Sport 4 SUV tyres were against its competitor. Check it out!
