Two months after the public unveiling of the BMW X2 M35i xDrive, BMW Malaysia has announced the official retail pricing for its first M Performance model in the country. The fully imported BMW X2 M35i xDrive is priced at RM398,800 (OTR without insurance), which is under RM400k as promised.
To recap, the X2 M35i xDrive is not a direct rival to the much-loved Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 4MATIC as the Beemer only derives 306 hp and 450 Nm of torque from the B48 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine.
The ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic and xDrive all-wind-drive system allow the X2 M35i to go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds with an electronically governed top speed of 250 km/h. Our local spec X2 M35i also comes with the M Sport adaptive suspension (Comfort and Sport Modes), M Sport exhaust system and M Sport front differentials.
Differentiating items from a regular X2 sDrive20i includes the M Sport Aero Kit, M Sport Brakes with blue callipers, 20-inch M light-alloy wheels Double-spoke style 721 M wrapped in 225/40 profile run-flat rubbers, Red Dakota leather upholstery as well as M Sport Seats and seat belts.
