BMW Malaysia is offering 150 special units of the BMW 218 Gran Coupe Sport equipped with the Iconic Glow kidney grille, at no extra cost from now until 31st March 2026. Pricing for the sole 2 Series variant in Malaysia starts at RM241,500, on-the-road, without insurance, and inclusive of the five-year BMW Service and Repair Inclusive (BSRI) package, or RM219,800 without.
While the glowing grille comes at no extra cost over the standard model, it is worth noting that prices for the 2 Series in Malaysia have actually increased by RM1,000 for 2026, according to the latest price list.
Aside from the glowing surrounds, the Iconic Grille also feature the blacked out mesh pattern on the inside for a sportier, more sinister look, compared to the satin treatment from before. Otherwise, these 150 units are essentially the same car that launched locally in 2025.
The all-new BMW 218 Gran Coupe Sport is powered by an uprated 1.5-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine producing 156 hp and 230 Nm—16 hp and 10 Nm more than its predecessor. Paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission driving the front wheels, it handles the 0–100 km/h sprint in 8.6 seconds before topping out at 230 km/h.

Driving dynamics have been tweaked via highly pre-tensioned anti-roll bar bearings and a refined rear multi-link suspension. Visually, the exterior is more minimalist, featuring a cleaner front bumper that ditches the faux air intakes and the front fog lights found on the previous generation.
Inside, the cabin features the BMW Curved Display, which comprises a 10.7-inch infotainment screen and a 10.25-inch digital cluster. It can be optioned with BMW Digital Premium, offering in-car video streaming, gaming, and access to music and podcast platforms.
