Honda City maintains strong sales figures by topping sales chart, again



Honda Malaysia has announced that it has recorded total sales of more than 44,200 registered units for the 1st half of 2019, with may charting the highest sales of more than 10,500 units.

As a result, Honda Malaysia maintains its leadership as No.1 in the Non-National segment and No.2 (with 15.3%) in overall Total Industry Volume (TIV) for the first half of 2019.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank all Malaysians for their continuous support and trust in the Honda brand. The Civic reached a milestone of 130,000th units sold while the Jazz delivered the 100,000th unit to its owner,” said Honda Malaysia, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Toichi Ishiyama.

“It is truly inspiring for us to see how these two models have become a favorite among Malaysians and we are hoping to achieve more milestones this year,” he added.

The hot shot for the first half of this year is the Honda City, pulling its weight by contributing 34% to the overall sales. This is followed by the Honda HR-V, achieving 20% of total sales and the CR-V, which made up 14% of total sales. The Honda City also topped Honda’s sales chart for the whole of 2018.

Honda also announced that the Passion Red Pearl colour introduced for the HR-V, Jazz, City, CR-V and BR-V has been extremely popular among its customers.
