Honda City updated in Malaysia – RS variants now get 360-degree camera

Honda Malaysia has announced a new mild specification update to the Honda City sedan, just in time before 2025 ends. Both the RS petrol and RS e:HEV hybrid variants now get a 360-degree surround view monitor as standard at no added cost, which means the two variants are priced at RM99,900 and RM111,900 respectively, both on-the-road and without insurance.

That’s the extent of the update, though; the rest of the models still remain completely unchanged from their last facelift update back in 2023.

The petrol RS variant, which is the latest addition to the line-up alongside the S, E, and V petrol variants, continue to be powered by the same 1.5-litre naturally aspirated inline-four engine, making 121 hp and 145 Nm. Drive is sent to the front wheels via a CVT gearbox.

The RS e:HEV meanwhile gets the marque’s hybrid powertrain system, with a 1.5-litre mill largely acting as a generator to power the traction electric motor, giving it a total system output of 109 hp and 253 Nm.

An earlier update this year saw the introduction of a new Phoenix Orange Pearl colour option for the Honda City, though the model remains otherwise unchanged too. Pricing for the compact sedan starts from RM84,900, as before.
