LEGO celebrates another motoring icon with the introduction of the Ford Mustang

LEGO Creator is back at it again; in collaboration with the Ford, they’ve introduced the Ford Mustang based on the 1967 Fastback.

Consisting of 1,470 pieces, the American icon comes with a working steering, bonnet scoop, GT emblems and five-spoke wheels.

Measuring over 10 cm, over 34 cm long and 14 cm wide, the new addition to the LEGO Creator line-up also comes with customisation options to include a supercharger, rear duck tail spoiler, beefy exhaust pipes, front chin spoiler and a nitrous oxide tank.

The replica model also allows owners to store items in the trunk and access the 6.4-litre “big block” V8 engine, complete with battery, hoses and air filter details.

Removing the roof panel opens up to a more detailed look of the interior with retro seats, radio, working steering and a mid-console gearshift.

“There are few cars on the road that are as instantly recognisable as the Ford Mustang, and it’s exciting to see the iconic car’s combination of design and heritage come through in this LEGO set,” said Ford Europe, Vice President of Marketing, Sales and Service, Roelant de Waard.

When LEGO did the unthinkable.

In the past, LEGO had presented a life-sized Bugatti Chiron that you can actually drive, a life-sized Porsche 911 and Toyota Camry.
