New or old, it’s hard to not find appeal in the Suzuki Jimny.

When the new model arrived early last year, every automotive media site was pouring with adoration for the new car – one that would sadly not be available (officially at least) for sale in Malaysia.

A miniature Land Rover Defender based on the Suzuki Jimny, dubbed the “Little D”.

Retaining the ladder frame chassis instead of the sissy monochoque body and a boxy exterior with the aerodynamic qualities of a bus, the new Jimny is makes an adorable 95 hp and 130 Nm of torque from a 1.5-litre engine. Transmission options include a 4-speed automatic or a 5-speed manual.

Ever since Japanese body kit manufacturer DAMD emerged with Land Rover Defender or Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon replicas based on the Jimny, we’ve all been praying for Suzuki’s hiatus in Malaysia to end.

DAMD’s version of the “Gelandewagen”.

Now with Wald’s version of the Jimny, a more unpretentious version if you will, we’re ready to march to Suzuki’s HQ in Japan with pitchforks and torches demanding their return to our homeland.

What you see above is called the Black Bison and it seems like alongside cockroaches, it will survive the apocalypse.

You must be wondering, “What does this Jimny not have?”

Tuning house, Wald, has equipped the Jimny with LED spotlights on the roof, hood scoops like those on an American muscle car, LED daytime running light rings like you’d find on a Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG and wheels that seem like they could crush diamonds.

As for the rest of the car, here’s a whole lot of pictures for you to marvel at.
