Most of you would not have heard of them, but DAMD – a Japanese body kit manufacturer – has been around since the 1980s with their most prominent work featured on the gold Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution driven by Paul Walker in 2 Fast 2 Furious.
While they’ve even got body kits to convert a GT 86/BRZ to look like the Lexus LFA, this is by far their most audacious work – mimicking the Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen and Land Rover Defender, through the new Suzuki Jimny.
With the “Defender”, noticeable changes include a new headlamp design, new front grille, new front and rear bumpers and even a “bulkier” front bonnet.
As for the “G-Wagen”, it’s almost impossible to tell the car apart from the real deal but upon closer look you’d see why – the attention to detail is second to none. Like the “Defender” it also gets a new headlamps housing, grille design similar to the GLA 45, E63 S and the newly updated C43 AMG 4MATIC.
There isn’t any priced indication on the body kit yet but it’s said to be available from 2019 onwards.
