Audi sponsored Real Madrid players with new cars – guess which model Ronaldo picked

Audi have been sponsors of the Spanish La Liga giants, Real Madrid since 2003 and apparently, the whole squad is usually treated to a fresh set of wheels to be seen with and get this, it happens annually!

As if these cash-rich footballers needed any help in getting a car with salaries swelling well beyond the millions of Euros per year – you’d be surprised what the majority actually went for – rather practical options.

Cristiano Ronaldo though, being the flamboyant character that he is, both on and off field, picked the flashiest wheels of the lot – a Panther Black Audi RS7 Sportback performance.

Coach Zinedine Zidane went for an Audi RS 6 Avant while Captian Sergio Ramos’ pick was reported to be the most expensive – an Audi R8 Spyder.

By far the most popular pick amongst the Madrid players were, surprisingly, the Audi Q7 – with 14 players including the likes of Gareth Bale and Luka Modric opting for the luxury SUV. Of the 14, three opted for the Audi Q7 e-tron quattro plug-in hybrid.

Before the handover of “company cars”, the “Galaticos” were put through a virtual test drive in the Audi e-tron FE04 where Dani Carvajal emerged the fastest driver.

Glad to know Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t the best at everything in Real Madrid and is human after all.
